is google a little hardcore on their ad checks or what?

they are canning some of my ads as words are not capitalized

lol

okay i put a capital letter there...now put the ad back in

i mean who cares about capitalization..i write my ads to read properly

not grammarically

camuseeme 05-30-2006 03:33 PM

Yea what you said. Sometimes it takes them 2 months to actually stop your ad and tell you its wrong.

WiredGuy 05-30-2006 03:35 PM

Google has become a bitch, a single tweak to my ad and they're bitching left and right. Once an ad passes their editors, I don't change it ever!

then the editor gets fired or promoted

new one comes , and he says NO :thumbsup

wedouglas 05-30-2006 03:49 PM

I only see problems when one reviewer says ok, and another says no. I just complain until one gets it right.

Michaelious 05-30-2006 04:28 PM

yeah just complain it always works

minusonebit 05-30-2006 06:02 PM

Google never would approve my ads, I said fuck it and gave up.

Goog Australia review dept need a slap about the face with my chop at times. The review discrepancies from one bloke to the next are stagering.

WG knows whats up.. if you get a questionable ad approved, LEAVE IT ALONE. adwords team sucks, bad.

it doesn't magically come back up, you have to change something on it so it gets resubmitted... (same as deleting and recreating it)

best i can tell (maybe WG can chime in), any new creative:keyword combination will trigger an editorial review. it won't pull the whole ad group.. but that new keyword won't trigger the ad until its passed review.

so if the person who reviews your new combination doesnt like the ad itself (and his co-worker's approval of it), he can disapprove it on a whim.

you can try the diagnostic tool to check its status.. but that thing is unreliable at best

strategic capitalization of text ads improves CTR, so they did you a favor.
