hiring staff and protecting your trade secrets
 
is there any fail proof way of hiring someone to do grunt work for you without them catching on about the actual business value i would gain from this? i am assuming this person has to be a complete moron or completely satisfied what i would pay.. discuss :upsidedow

yeah I am interested in this also. I would like to automate my projects, but can't get over that anyone with a brain could do it on their own...

non-disclosure clause in the contract,

write into the contract that any intellectual property developed by said person while under the employ of the company remains the property of said company upon termination of contract etc.

basically write into the contract that anything you learn from us is ours, anything you do for us is ours, and if you quit or are fired it remains ours and you're not allowed to use the information you learned anywhere else for at least (specify time period)

Hiring coop students is the way I went, they're too busy with school to compete against you later on. Alternatively, you get the new hires to dispose of the older staff :)
