NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) - President Bush Tuesday named Goldman Sachs CEO Henry Paulson to be the next Treasury Secretary, succeeding John Snow.

Bush made the announcement at a brief White House ceremony, flanked by Paulson and Snow, whose resignation had been widely expected.
