For Those Of You Who Think Canada Is Only Snow and Cold

We have had a major heat wave throughout Toronto - today alone the temp is going to be 34 degree Celsius = 93.2 degree Fahrenheit

that doesnt include the humidity factor which yesterday was close to
45 degree Celsius = 113 degree Fahrenheit

this is only the beginning of the season and temp's like this will likely continue after we chill out later this week to 22 degree Celsius = 71.6 degree Fahrenheit

I was in Cancun and met some americans from Chicago. When I told them I was from Vancouver they were all "oooh it must be freezing there." They were from Chicago...did I mention that.

I told them It snows for about 2 days or so a year here.

Bhelliom 05-30-2006 09:16 AM

I nearly died in the heat yesterday in TO. Couldn't even go outsite and have a cigarette.

Like the middle of winter when you inhale as fast as you can so yo ucan get back into the warmth of the office.... I was doing the same yesterday but so I could get back to the cool office. I love the heat, but sometimes its just too much

GuerillaTony 05-30-2006 09:17 AM

Hell yeah ! the weather is great :thumbsup

Michael O 05-30-2006 09:49 AM

I've been to Canada once while I lived in USA, I was around 15 and asked my dad twice if he really wanted me to bring shorts.
Its was in July but I figured it was always cold in Canada :D

Yay for eastern Canada, unbearably cold in the winter and unbearably hot in the summer. Sounds like paradise.

I set up my soggy cardboard box in the middle of my puddle. If I wait long enough, it might turn into an igloo again.
