Anybody willing to give me a gmail invite (gmail.com, not googlemail.com)
 

Would anybody be kind enough to offer me a Gmail invite? I've already got 2 Gmail accounts, but because i am in the UK, if i send out invites the gmail e-mail address will be [email protected] - and i am looking for [email protected].

I've just tried setting my other Gmail account to US language, and even accessed it through a US proxy to make myself look like an American user to Google's systems, but it still only offered me a choice of [email protected].

Can anybody help me?:helpme

Hmm. I'm not quite sure - i don't want Google to recognise the e-mail you send the gmail invite to is British, and hence offer me a @googlemail.com domain.

Thanks for the invite - but Google seem to have magically worked out i am in the UK again, and so all i am offered is [email protected]. I've tried changing everything - the language, country etc. but it still offers this subdomain.

Is there any chance i could just ask you to go to the invite URL (i'll e-mail it to you) just to check that when you access it, it does come up with [email protected]? Sorry to ask all this and thanks - it really is appreciated.

Nevermind - i did a quick bit of research and used vTunnel.com as Wikipedia suggested: problem solved. Thanks again kanalj for your help - is there anything i can do to repay you?

I think googlemail.com and gmail.com are all the same... try sending yourself an email to [email protected] instead of [email protected]. Should arrive just fine.

if anyone want an other gmail invitation, just ask...

u should use a US proxy to get you invitation turned into gmail insted of googlemail.com
