I need to turn my mom's basement into my pimpin' love nest/workspace/home

can anyone give me any decorating tips? maybe suggest some furniture or something that will bring this place to life?

You can turn that pole right there into a stripper pole for starters.

I can't afford the extra charge the hookers at the truckstop charge me for doing a little strip tease so that suggestion is out. :(

Definately a pair of French provincial walnut pannetiere cupboards against the wall and perhaps a few English brass planters with lion head handles and definately a English Georgian yew wood oyster veneer four drawer chest.

easy thing I see is turning that staircase into a spiral staircase
since you have a return drain and H/c faucets make that a bathroom
drywall off the ceilings and make the lightbulbs florecent or a nice lighting fixture
just my suggestions

after that what ever interior is up to you

Just get a futon and a desk and staple the ethernet from your router to the floor joists. Why fix it up? Planning on living with mom for a long while? set your sites on your own place :2 cents:

BTW the desk and futon should be bought used to add character and save funds to invest in moving forward.
