Seven common traits of millionaires:

They live well below their means;
They allocate their time, energy and money efficiently, in ways conducive to building wealth;
They believe that financial independence is more important than displaying high social status;
Their parents did not provide economic relief;
Their adult children are economically self-sufficient;
They are proficient in targeting market opportunities;
They chose the right occupation.

How many can you say you have?

Translated: Money is more important than people.

Looks like JFK has been reading "Mind of a Millionaire", read it a few years ago, great fucking book!

The best stats were:

Average millionaire never paid more than $70 for a pair of shoes
Average millionaire never paid more than $100 for a watch
Average millionaire drives a Ford F-150
The Average millionaire's wife clips grocery coupons

the list goes on...

well i'm working on getting the cfa designation and getting into mergers & acquisitions. i think i'm goin in the right direction :thumbsup

I think I got all the traits except;
"They chose the right occupation"

The most important ones are:
"They live well below their means"
"They believe that financial independence is more important than displaying high social status"

This is the biggest factor since most millionaires are over 55 and retired, and most millionaires made less than $80k a year. The average millionaire became one by saving money.

Of course if your banking a couple million a year for a while those rules shouldn't apply, but I do know of several people who made that much at one point in their life, and are barely able to scrape enough money together for rent now becuase of poor life decisions.

And of course this trait:

"They have a million dollars"

Actually never read it just found the Quote somewhere this morning and ripped it off, but yes that is where it came from.

The most recent millionaire I met came to Prague recently and the bar bill was $2-3,000 a night. So I guess he's the exception.

He's one of those elite webmasters making $10k a day

I cant seem to not live beyond my means, I have blown several in the years past ! My firm belief is that you cant take it with you, so enjoy it while you are here. That is not to say I do not have assets, but I hate to live a miserly existence just to have a mill net worth. probably 4 out of the seven
