The most important ones are:
"They live well below their means"

This is the biggest factor since most millionaires are over 55 and retired, and most millionaires made less than $80k a year. The average millionaire became one by saving money.

Of course if your banking a couple million a year for a while those rules shouldn't apply, but I do know of several people who made that much at one point in their life, and are barely able to scrape enough money together for rent now becuase of poor life decisions.

And of course this trait:

Actually never read it just found the Quote somewhere this morning and ripped it off, but yes that is where it came from.

The most recent millionaire I met came to Prague recently and the bar bill was $2-3,000 a night. So I guess he's the exception.

I cant seem to not live beyond my means, I have blown several in the years past ! My firm belief is that you cant take it with you, so enjoy it while you are here. That is not to say I do not have assets, but I hate to live a miserly existence just to have a mill net worth. probably 4 out of the seven
