No one is dogging Ruth at all. Ruth and Bonds are different players in different eras. There will never be disputing what Ruth did for the game. But things are different. Back in Ruth's day pitchers would generally stay in an entire game and players would face the same pitchers and teams like 10 more times then they do today. Ruth shines that he was hitting 60 home runs when the next best person hit 20. That's domination for sure.
I'm just saying if things were so easy we'd see all players doing this, instead of just one.
I also agree that Bonds comes off as an arogant prick. Something he has worked the last 10 years to improve, but he just can get past that. I'm just saying it should be recognized.
