Gracie is a legend and his submission skills are excellent but I think Hughes will try to keep it standing up. Hughes is no slouch when it comes to
ground and pound so this will be a great fight, I think Hughes will win.

Today's matches aren't anything like they were years ago. Royce used to fight in tornaments where he would have four fights in a night with guys twice his size.

Royce is still a seasoned fighter with many fights in Japan.

My vote for who wins tonight goes to Gracie.

I wish Royce would win but I don't have a good feeling about it. Although for the 1.5 million I heard he's making off the fight, you could tempt me to take a beating too :1orglaugh

holy size difference. I'm not up on UFC or its history. Was Gracie always so thin? Maybe he's just one of those guys that's skinny but really really strong.

Gracie actually had to loose alot of weight to get down to Matt's size.


I personnally HOPE gracie is gonna win, cause I'm tired of Matt being the arrogant prick he is... BUT, logic would dictate that Hughes has a better chance of winning.

I'll be rooting for Gracie, but won't be surprised if Matt knocks him out

After that last fight between Forrest and Tito I'm having a tough time believing that this shit is not fixed.

they're showing old gracie fights on spike tv right now...i think if gracie loses, its only cuz he's an old man now...i mean he used to fight 4 guys a night and they were all way bigger than him...and now hughes is SMALLER than gracie, although probably much stronger...but gracie is the guy who took out kimo...

It'll either be Gracie by Submission or Hughes by Decision. Gracie has taken beatings by far better than Hughes, and is unlikely to be knocked out.
Hughes has the advantage of being the stronger fighter, so he'll definitely be the aggressor, and that'll work in his favour points wise.
Plus everyone thinks Gracie is undefeated. Only in the Octagon, anyone remember the pride bout that was done with Gracie rules, (No time limit) and he ended up having his father throw in the towel on him. Due to a beating at the hands of a drinking, smoking, partyer named Sakuraba.
Either way it'll be fun to watch!
I think Gracie will have to stay active and not get contolled if he want's to win. Hughes needs to fight his fight and not get sucked into Gracie's trickiness. :2 cents: (Long 2 cents I know, I'm just excited!)

I remember that fight. He beat Kimo with a submission, but Kimo did enough damage to Royce before that, Gracie couldn't continue in the tournament. It was the first time anyone saw a dent in the Gracie armor.

We are headed out to catch that tonight. Should be a good fight. I think that gracie will take it by tap out.

royce didn't do a damn thing to matt... new ufc is alot better then old one, fighters are alot more advanced and well rounded these days
