>>I had nver heard of mediapipe until late last year, I downloaded an Email attachment and the only thing that could open the darn thing was mediapipe. Curiosity killed the cat so I allowed mediapipe to download it's programme.
The worst thing I ever did! it went through my PC like a dose of salts it infiltrated everything. Took over virtually everything instead of the normal programs appearing on screen mediapipe would superimpose itself over the top. It took me a long time to get rid of the darned thing becaused it refused to uninstall and I had to resort to manually removing it from the registry. Even then if I left one little item behind it started to replicate itself, it as insiduous programme that should be banned and its perpetrators hung drawn and quartered.
To cut to the chase my Pc is security swept each week by Adaware, Spybot S&D, Spywareblaster, AVG and am running Windows Security Centre. The Pc was swept on Saturday April 8th and was OK, this morning Wed April 12th the Pc was not too happy in the speed department so started Adaware on finish there were 12 Tracking Cookies courtesy of our friend media pipe.
The only work I had done over the weekend was trawl the web for memory sticks to ugrade a Mobo, so where the hell in name of fortune did mediapipe get its filthy nose in my PC.
