Rock n' Roll: exile on main street - Rolling Stones Rock: LA woman - The Doors Progressive Rock: The wall - Pink Floyd Hard Rock: Paranoid - Black Sabbath Pop: Sgt pepper's lonely hearts club band - Beatles Gangsta Rap: Better Dayz - 2pac Reggae: Rasta Revolution - Bob Marley |
i had to classify beatles as pop and doors as straight rock

Here's my alltime favorite. It's a DVD concert, but there's a disc album too ;)

Abbey Road is up there but I really think as far as "albums" go, this is the ultimate achievement. Sorry, but no album in the 80's, 90's or 00's can even be considered in the same realm as The Wall... Listen to it 20 or 30 times and you will understand. And guess what... no drum machines... no samples.... no voice correction technology... just a pure fucking audio masterpiece. |
Sgt Pepper, Abbey Road, Tommy

:2 cents: No one can stop the end medley. It's rock music at it's pinnacle, matured form. |

Most of you are too young to remember, but this is the album that changed it all. |
I thought goat's head soup changed it all?
