Is it true the little pieces of gold in Goldschlager cut little slits in the inside of your throat so you absorbed the alcohol faster?

Goldschlhahaha228;ger is a Swiss cinnamon schnapps (43.5%), a clear liqueur with very thin yet visible flakes of gold floating in it. The actual amount of gold is extremely small and serves as a sort of novelty.

The previously noted urban legend is likely the result of a misdirected comparison between the perceived level of innebriation one has after drinking Goldschlhahaha228;ger versus another spirit. Such a comparison would be misdirected if the spirit in question was 80 proof as many are because Goldschlhahaha228;ger is 87 proof.

There is currently less than a tenth of a gram (0.1 g) of gold flakes in a 750 mL bottle of Goldschlhahaha228;ger, which amounts to less than $2.22 on the international gold market.

its true. actually it used to be named razorbladeschlager but they had to tone it down after the wrongful death lawsuits.

I don't know, but I fucking love Goldschlager so much I drink it straight out of the bottle. Which reminds me, I haven't had it in awhile. Looks like this weekend needs to be a Goldschlager weekend. :thumbsup
