Epoch, Jettis, IBill, Globill, CCBill or Other?
I have always wanted to start my own paysite instead of sending all my traffic to pay per signup sponsors.
I know there was a recent thread battling between Epoch and Jettis, with Epoch seeming to be the more favorable, but what about the other companies? I need help choosing one, or maybe 2 and have 1 as a backup. What I want ideally is a processor that takes care of customer support, giving out of passwords, easy cancelations, password trader protection, weekly payouts and a kickass partnership affiliate stats/payout program that is easy to setup. Here is what I hear and/or know about the current processors: Epoch: >> They had a bad history of not paying reserves, but have in the last year really turned themselves around and don't have reserves anymore so problem solved. They pay weekly so I hear, and are in the midst of getting together a partnership program builtin like CCbill and Ibill and Globill have. Verdict: Useless, unless I had my own scripts and a shitload of money to integrate into their system. Jettis: >> They are used by maxcash, charge a rediculous $1500 to get setup (although I here this can be waived, and if that is true, why the hell have it in the first place other than to ripoff newbies). As far as I know, they only pay every 2 weeks and don't have that great of a partnership program feature for affiliates. I have also heard that they scrub unusually hard meaning less signups, though less chargebacks. Verdict: Useless again, unless you like getting paid every 2 weeks, losing signups to overscrubbing, and not having that great of a partnership program. IBill: >> These guys have been around a long time, but were recently bought out by some bigger company. Ibill has usually been pretty good, but I think their revshare program sucks the big one. It's a pain in the ass to see what site you are getting signups to, you can't see clickthroughs or where your traffic is coming from and you still only get paid every 2 weeks. On top of all of this, I have seen a lot of big companies and partnership programs switch from them to other companies because they were offering $1.95 or $1 donations onto a porn site signup. WTF was that all about. Plus, they have gone to crap with tons of people complaining that their signups went to hell with them, but were fine with other companies. Verdict: Useless to me because I don't have 1000's to make my own traffic monitoring script and because of all the issues they are having and they only pay once every 2 weeks. Globill: >> I don't know a lot to tell you the truth about this program. They have high scrubbing technology, but seem to have excellent payouts and customer/webmaster support. As well as a pretty decent partnership program. Does anyone know how often they pay, and if they have had any success/problems? Verdict: Useful if they pay weekly and have good stats for affilates. (I have to look more into them) CCBill: >> They seem to be the best choice for me so far in my research. They pay weekly "52 paydays a year". They have been switched to by numerous former Ibill webmasters, they recently enhanced their affiliate program and they track hits and signups fairly well. Verdict: So far, they are the best choice for me if I were going to start my own paysite with partnership program. Other?? I know there are some other processors out there, but I don't know much about them as they are not being used by big paysite operators as far as I know. Keep in mind that anything I said was what I THINK to be true. This post is just my opinion on these programs. All of these programs seem to be trusted by some webmasters or they wouldn't be in business. All I am trying to do is get as much info on each as I can so I can make my final decision on who my processor is going to be. So if you are a rep for any of these companies and I have the wrong idea about you, please feel free to voice yourself. And if you know something about any of these programs that I have missed, then please post what you know about it. I think that this is going to be the most important part of my paysite decision making and I want to do it right. Now it's time for me to stop typing and to hear what everyone's got to say. :Graucho Daymare |

WebsiteBilling.com just looked into them... Not too bad all depends on exactly what you need but they had a great setup / pricing for 1 time purchases.

I recently joined CCBill for my new paysite, and while most features they have DO work, there are a handful of problems I've run into that tech support has not fixed and it's driving me nuts.
I would have gone with Globill (they have the best tech support I've seen), but I wanted to make it easy on affiliates, and I figure most webmasters have at least one CCBill account already. Unfortunately, it hasn't been as easy getting my stats to integrate with CCBill, mainly because they have so many bugs in their new software. |
WebSiteBilling.com has been around forever, they convert better, have lower fees, and just plain make you more money..
tell them hiendmedia refered you :) |

I see their ad on GFY all the time. Do they offer weekly payouts and a good partnership program for affiliates? |
Daymare,
You asked for it, here's my voice. ;-) Setup Fee's. I don't remember the last time we charged a setup fee for our transaction processing service, however we do at times require a licensing/integration fee for our affiliate software. This all depends on the various aspects of the service the Client is looking for. Payments. We send payments to our Clients weekly. The previous thread which quoted 2 weeks was in regards to the options our Clients have to pay their affiliates through our JUMBO software. These options are bi-monthly, monthly or quarterly. Partnership Program. Our JUMBO software supports a partnership split, pay per signup, pay per click and active member. Clicks, signups, referring url tracking....yada yada. We also allow a private label verison which you may customize to tie into your webmaster site. Scrubbing. We've got it. We also have many Clients who are more than happy with their sales numbers. ;-) If you'd like any further info, hit us up at [email protected] |

Because I like to drive you people crazy. If someone has a specific problem, especially one that doesn't seem to be resolved thru support (hint: JackFoley) then the easiest thing to do is to email me -- [email protected] -- and I'll get a stick and beat our guys about the head with it until they correct any issues we can identify. And no, I don't expect any of you psychics to know that's what you should do, I just keep posting it over and over... |

That's pretty much it... and from what I understand, you send out affiliate cheques every 2 weeks, and cheques to me every week. Also, you said that there may be a fee for setting up the affiliate partnership program? What kind of fees would I have to pay for a setup like wantboobs has where the are just a simple partnership program with one site. And on that note, lets say I want to add sites to my program later... can this be intergrated seamlessly into the affiliates stats, or do they have to signup for that partnership program again? Let the responses begin.... |
Website billing is a tried and true company. We use them and they have been very good to us.

Payouts can be made via regular check (free), ACH Direct Deposit (free), or wire transfer (fee varies based on destination country). What kind of features are you looking for in your partnership program? We can handle all the hit / sale tracking for you, and provide an easy to use interface to see how many hits / sales each affiliate is sending you. We support flat-fee signup bonuses or the more standard percentage per sale model. Also, the affiliate system offers a tiered payment feature - which allows you to reward higher performing affiliates. Any other questions -- just ask :) |
Globill's been good to me and I've had absolutely no complaints with them so wouldn't change simply because of that. We're I looking now I'd be heavily tempted by CCbill. Probably Kimmy living and sleeping in the board has made me trust them :)

CCbill is awesome
they will go out of thier way to accomidate you I have asked for specific functions and within a day or so they are able to make them so.. I have hit patrick on the spot on the showroom floor at internext and asked for a affiliate database printout not only was he willing to get it for me he had it within an hour and faxed to him at the show it was 50 or 60 pages of data and they paid for the fax probably 1 dollar a page CCbill will bend over backwards to help you call Sean Eggert Ext 158 at CCbill he is tha MAN |
Daymare,
No setup fee for the basic revshare setup. And any new sites you setup are available to affiliates without having to signup again. Hit us up and let the sales person know I sent ya. ;-) |
Sean's out of the office til Monday the 27th -- but he is indeed a fantastic person here to deal with.
I've mentioned in the past that we certainly aren't perfect, nor do we pretend to be. We do, however, try to do as much as we can to help our clients make as much money as possible from their sites. |

Our guys are on a rotating schedule -- somedays they come in as early as 6 am, and sometimes as late as noon.
Sean's on the first vacation I can remember him taking in two years, so Tuesday is probably the day to get him. He may be headed to the show in Montreal next week as well -=- If you email him -- [email protected] -- Lange is answering Seans emails until he's back so you can get going. |
PSWBilling.com
