Need Advice
 

I have been offered $15,000.00 for a domain name I registered, but I am not sure if that is enough, and I don't know how much it is really worth.

I would use a domain name appraisal service, but they all seem like they are guessing. If you have had good experience with one, let me know.

Dont you ever watch COPS? 80% of miami has dui charges...... throw that url up on some bulletin boards and in some newspaper ads and its Gold!

definitely sell. selling a domain name like 'miamidui' and a couple other 5 trillion charecter domain names for 15 grand is really good. :thumbsup

Consider the lifetime value of just one new customer directed to your site through your domain, PLUS the value of other customers that are attracted through their referrals. The reach of a domain is ALWAYS valud exponentially, when I price domains.

If each customer is worth only $100 dollars over their lifetime and your new domain attracts 500 new customers over the life of your company, then that domain brings $50,000 in direct value to your business. Suppose you have several or just one domain pointing to your online business and that domain attracts 10,000 new customers. Even if each customer were valued at only $5 each over their lifetime, you would still come up with the same $50,000 value to your company.

Price wisely, I know I do.

You can always come up with other domain names, but you won't always get offered that kind of money for them.

That is beyond a great price for that domain in this market, in my opinion.

Just register this one:

lease it for $1K/mo.

That domain isn't going to get traffic on its own, so it wouldn't be worth it for the "buyer" to lease it. The only domains worth leasing are ones that come with built in traffic.

If you're going to "brand" a domain, it doesn't make sense to lease it.
