Dogs missing - possibly stolen :(

my and my ex girlfriends baby :(

http://www.adultforum.ca/pics/dog2.jpg

said she heard her barking in the backyard, and when she went outside the gate was open and she was nowhere to be seen...

and nobody in her family left the gate open...

im going to go calm her down and help her look for her... wish us luck... we're both seriously in love with that dog

After Shock Media 05-25-2006 11:59 AM

Quick check the daily special at the local chinese place.

Sorry man to hear about that. If nobody left the gate open I think you better get the flyers out with a reward quick and hope its a dog napping for ransom.

BluewireAngie 05-25-2006 12:01 PM

ooohhh cute lil baby. Hope you'll find her ASAP.

RhiannonAPM 05-25-2006 12:03 PM

Good luck, hope you find her in one piece.

dv2 05-25-2006 12:04 PM

that totally sucks....definitely put up some flyers right away like aftershockmedia suggested

After Shock Media 05-25-2006 12:04 PM

Out of curiosity did you check between the sofa cushions?

directfiesta 05-25-2006 12:23 PM

Did it have a tag ... maybe someone will call :

" Yo man, got that 4 legged thing ... Any rewards ? ... "

Otherwise, plaster the neighboorhood with signs ... Someone could have seen it.

Sad thing

:Oh crap

We had one of our dogs stolen about a year or two ago. Around Christmas or so, we had a rash of people stealing full blooded dogs and taking them out of state and selling them. When I last spoke to the local Animal Shelter, they had had reports of over 100 dogs done this way. They never did find my son's dog and never found the fuckers doing it.

Our animals are like part of the family so this crushed us.

Good luck finding your baby, it's tough, I know.

L-Pink 05-25-2006 01:10 PM

That dog has a mischievous look in it's eyes. I think it escaped.

I hope you find it soon.

Then Houdini proof the back-yard.

LittleSassy 05-25-2006 01:33 PM

cute dog......seemed like she doesnt wore a collar. look in the pound

buddyjuf 05-25-2006 01:33 PM

I hope you find the doggy yo!!!

Mutt 05-25-2006 01:34 PM

Hope you find the dog SOS:)

sonofsam 05-25-2006 03:44 PM

dog was found many houses down in someones backyard... and there was no way in or out of the backyard for the dog.. so someone put her there.

going to go talk to the owners tonight

at least we got her back though, my ex was a wreck...

so happy ending in this story :)

and another thing... what is with people stealing small dogs like these for either a ransom or themselves.... stealing someones dog isn't like stealing someones car... it's a living thing and part of someones family

ContentSHOOTER 05-25-2006 03:45 PM

Good news SOS:thumbsup

RhiannonAPM 05-25-2006 03:46 PM

I'm glad you found your dog. I would be talking to someone about it though. :thumbsup

xlogger 05-25-2006 03:48 PM

I stole your dog!

lol, beeyaachee

Damian_Maxcash 05-25-2006 03:55 PM

A happy ending - thats cool.

I lost my cat when I was in NZ - I put up a $600 reward, and put flyers up everywhere.

It turned up a day later ok when he was hungry - but I had neighbours turning up with stray animals for weeks. The lady turned up from a few doors down - telling me she had found it -

"But Mrs Bloggs, thats your cat... you have had it for 15 years.... I fed it for a week while you where on holiday last year....."

You cant blame her for trying......

Murderous 05-25-2006 04:02 PM

I hope you find your dog.

I have a dalmation, she is deaf in both ears. I live on a hill right above town. I get scared whenever she runs off. When I walk her through town she gets plenty of attention. So I know someone will steal her, given the chance.

After Shock Media 05-25-2006 04:05 PM

Admit it, it was not in some neighbors backyard. You are just to embarassed to say it was between a couch cushion or under a pillow somewhere.

quiet 05-25-2006 04:07 PM

ugh i hate to read things like this. love animals more than people for the most part....

we found her :thumbsup

and i completely agree with you, i love that dog more then 99% of the people i know :)

L-Pink 05-25-2006 04:12 PM

I'm very glad your dog is safe.

Before pissing off your neighbors, and you will, special talent you have, observe the dog without it knowing. I'm telling you it escaped.

If you insist on pissing them off be sure to tell them about GFY. They can then vent about you in one of the many threads. I'm sure they will find it therapeutic.

Speaking of therapy .....

Vitasoy 05-25-2006 04:19 PM

Glad you were able to find it :)

Malt Lick Her 05-25-2006 04:22 PM

Maybe the person saw your dog running loose without tags or something. Was intending to put up found posters or something to try to find the owner, but had to run out. They just put your dog in their back yard temporarily because they didn't know who it belonged to.

That happened to me once. A neighbor of mine's lab got out of its yard and was running loose. I took the dog in because the neighbor was gone out of town for the weekend. Of course I left a note for them because I knew who owned it.

I'm just saying that so far you are assuming that the dog was stolen.

the dog has tags, with her name and address on it.. the pic i posted was from when she was a puppy and we just brought her home.

the reason i assume they stole it is because they know who owns the dog... and she was out on the street calling her name for a very long time... walked past their house numerous times calling her name... and they were home...

but you're right... i'll talk to them and maybe there is a good reason...

Malt Lick Her 05-25-2006 04:28 PM

cool...glad you got your dog back. She's a cutie in the picture.

I never understood how people got so close with their pets till we got her and she used to always fall asleep in a little ball on our laps

L-Pink 05-25-2006 04:31 PM

Check your garage, maybe another neighbor stole your car.

Malt Lick Her 05-25-2006 04:39 PM

I fell in love with my Siberian Husky when we went to look at him at 6 weeks old. He nuzzled up into my chest hair. Of course I'd always wanted a Husky. He's almost 4 years old now.

why don't you go check your sound system? fill up your bathtub and drop it in... see if it's waterproof

you're fucking annoying - on ignore now.

aimeesweet 05-25-2006 04:53 PM

That's so awful... I had a puppy stolen when I was a kid... on Christmas day no less...

I hope you find her, she's adorable!

sonofsam 05-25-2006 04:54 PM

*slaps head*

L-Pink 05-25-2006 05:00 PM

I know you can't read this .....

As a dog owner I'm thrilled you have your buddy back.

My only other advise has been don't accuse a neighbor of stealing it and putting it in their yard! That's stupid and you don't want a payback.

(I'll bet you did check your car, didn't you?)

iWeb_Iya 05-25-2006 06:08 PM

Nice to know that it's a happy ending after all. :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

BigCashCrew 05-25-2006 06:13 PM

oh boy, i'm glad to hear you found your pup. I was feeling really bad for you when I read this post. I'd be upset if I lost my best bud Tet.

2HousePlague 05-25-2006 06:43 PM

Do we have a happy ending?
