 Vonage? More Like Ownage!

I can't believe people actually bought this stock. Didn't we learn NOT to invest in Internet companies that don't make money during the Internet bust of mid-2000? My how quickly we forget. And their direct purchase plan for customers was a bad risk IMO; now that the stock is off 13% and falling, how many of their customer/stockholders will get pissed at the company and dump Vonage for one of a thousand competitors?
And props to Skype for offering free calling to the US & Canada in anticipation of Vonage's IPO. Brilliant marketing move, even though Skype is burning through cash faster than you can say Ebay. |

I am with you on this. They posted a $260mln dollar loss last year and in the advertising world we KNOW they cant be doing all that advertising AND making money. Its simply not possibly unless they have a user value of $500.
Ive been watching the stock falling myself and am just waiting for Ebay/Skype to blow them out of the water soon as well as any other company smart enough to knows how to MAKE MONEY! I thought the bubble bursting taught people something... guess not. |
