I am averaging two affiliates per day sign up to my new program... is that good?

As FreeJoinCash is my first program I'm not sure if that's a decent ratio. I'm happy that affiliates are jumping on board and traffic is steadily building up, just wondering if any experienced sponsors cared to share any info on affiliate numbers/sign-up rate.

It's up there -- :thumbsup

Depends on a bunch of diffrent things here are a couple

Are you advertising through your sig only
Are you advertisting through webmaster board, resource type sites
or are you getting most your webmaster from word of mouth

Yes, traffic is increasing day by day, although many affiliates have yet to send any at all. I guess this is normal.

No other advertising, though I'm listed on a few resource sites in their free listings sections.

yeah you wont have everyone usig it right away
mail them or contact them directly one by one

it will increase a bit

keep it going:)

Harrison Richard 05-24-2006 06:15 PM

You only need one affiliate per year! Get AFF's exits. :D

2 a day aint bad with no real big advertising the key is to focus on helping the new webmasters that sign up everyday to push some traffic. If your ratios are in line you shouldnt have a problem growing your program :thumbsup

That's about what I've been making offering a gallery submission service to TGP owners.

soundsl ike its off to a good start, keep at it!

Rice_Master 05-24-2006 07:24 PM

you can have a 200 affiliates signup per day but if they don't send any signups it doesn't mean shit all.

Snake Doctor 05-24-2006 07:25 PM

If I had a program I would take 1 affiliate signup a month if the guy who signed up would send 100 joins a day.
Traffic is all that matters.

Industry average: 10 affiliates will sign up to your program, 1 of them will send traffic.
"Substantial traffic" is a whole different story altogether.

spooky181 05-24-2006 08:51 PM

We only have the one site to promote and when we started up we got about that for the first few months now we get a new affiliate every few days. We have maybe 500 or more but only 10 of them send any real traffic/sales...:Oh crap

Bake 05-24-2006 11:11 PM

You only need ten affilates to make good money, Now you just need someone who knows who those ten are.

Spot on. Been running the paysite for 18 months now and this is exactly right. 50% who sign up don't send any traffic. Even when you write to them and ask to test their links nothing happens. Look for the 10% who are going to make your program work.

steve i am a little bit confused about your programm:
i am already a sexkey webmaster, do i have to sign up a second time under your signuppage in order to promote your sites ?

bobby666 05-25-2006 12:14 AM

have just read your faq
"Does it matter whether I'm already a SexKey webmaster or not?

You must still sign up even if you're already a SexKey webmaster and they will add our sites to your existing site portfolio."
all clear now !

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 05-25-2006 01:43 AM

Well take them two guys a day and keep a dialog with em. Give em some support, send them an email, ask if there is anything ya can do to help them promote the sites.

2 cents.

Thats true. Most of the affliates bring no traffic at all.

Steve_NCH 05-25-2006 06:09 AM

Thanks for all the advice and hints guys. :thumbsup

HpicAnn 05-25-2006 07:50 AM

2 new affiliates per day.. at the end of the month you will have 60 new affiliates promoting your sites and if you can stay in touch with them to keep promoting your program, that would be at least $1000 / month... Not bad to start.. don`t you think??

Keep working :thumbsup
