Unfortunately, I don't think you have any benefits coming. It looks like the period of wrongdoing by Netflix is defined by the Class. At least you can profit going forward from your awareness of these events in the past.

This is like when Ameritech was allowed to settle a class action for ripping off consumers by sending them free calling cards that could only be used at Ameritech pay phones, and then proceeded to close down its payphone unit. Really ought to be a law that all settlements be made for stuff like this must settle out in cash. No coupons, no gimmicks and no bullshit.

I used to have an account with them way back when (like maybe 2002?), so I should be able to get in on this, but hell if I remember the e-mail address or password on my account. So I guess I cant complete the "registration". What a scam.

I hear ya. It's encouraging, though, to see both Netflix get an easy out and the upset customers get something they still seem to value. If it were EXXON settling one of its ecological fiascos with barrels of oil, it would be different.

I worked there back then. It was truely priceless. They had settled for their linebacker sham, sent out those calling cards, and then ripped out all payphone.

A true gem.

:thumbsup
