here's the deal, whenever i click on 'browse' to attach a file, my browser fucks up (IE tells me there was an error and it has to close, netscape just dissapears, outlook dissapears when i try this as well).
when i attempt to download something and save it to disk, the window that shows the progress of the download freezes, meaning i cant save anything to my computer. everything else is fine.
i assume this is a windows xp problem, what are the possible solutions? my last resort is to format c.
if you want to help me either fix it or show me how to format c on xp.. icq = 25564587, i'll give you something for your time.

actually, if you boot from the xp cd you should be able to scorch your partition(s) in setup and try again - pretty drastic though.

XP as a recovery function, use it!

thanks everyone what i did was go into bios and set it up to boot from cd-rom, had my xp cd in there and i installed xp again, set up a new user.. and all my problems were solved and didnt lose a single thing :thumbsup
