anybody here have a sony PSP?
 

I'm taking a long trip next weekend and thinking about picking one up so I'll have something to do... anybody here have one? what do you think about it?

I have one, it's pretty cool. I bought it in december for a 6-hour flight, I haven't used it much since. But if you travel a lot, it's fucking nice. :)

I have one and love it. I use it for movies not games and wireless network snooping sometimes. At first I thought it would be a pain watching a movie on such a small screen but the quality is so good imo, it's just like watching a 60" LCD from 20-30 ft away. perfect for the airport, plane or anywhere you need something small and portable to kill some time. :thumbsup

I love mine. I have some movies a buddy of mine helped me convert and I put them on my 2 gig card along with some other stupid clips from the web and what not. I only have 2 games right now but it's definitely a nice little gadget. Plus it has the car adapter so you don't have to worry about running out of battery life. I can usually get about 4 or 5 movies on the 2 gig card and I think the last time I was in Costco they had the 2 gig for $110 or something like that.

yeah thats exactly why i was thinking about getting it, for a very long flight. I'm real tired of my gameboy advance plus my kid has just about worn it out

I agree about the screen, it's actually really good. I think it's 4.3 inches or something like that but it's really crisp.

I play the one like crazy (mostly Hot Shots Golf and Virtua Tennis) the other one is for my little guy and he likes to watch Spiderman movies on it.

what is a 2gig card? i thought it only played those mini-dvd things?

You need a memory-card for saving shit on.
For a 2 gig memory-card, you can save movies and whatnot.

does hollywood video rent movies for this thing or do you have to buy them?

I use to sell them when they first came out in japan. The Japaense Version 1.5 are great as you can edit any DVD to Mp4 and trasnfer it to your memory card and watch it same goes with games on the memory card
