So what's the best antivirus software

So avast is performing much better than I expected on my computer. It's outperforming Norton. Is there a better one?

Avast is very good, as well as AVG.

King Adam 05-22-2006 06:20 PM

AVG all the way

I like Kaspersky, it's fast and doesn't eat up a ton of system resources.

i uninstalled kaspersky & replaced it with nod32 & like it much better. easier on the system too.

Theo 05-22-2006 08:08 PM

kaspersky fast a lot and can even delete viruses from system restore

I've been using Nod32 for years. But on one of my PC's I am trying PC-Cillin.

I really like it. It updates every few hours. Has a built in firewall, and also checks for program/browser/M$ vulnerabilities, also malware/adware removal, and scans e-mail.

30 day evaluation available.

So far I'm loving it. Good program.

:thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

Nod32 is the best that I've ever used http://nod32.com

It seems like they update their definitions daily, so they're definately on top of things.

I've been through a few programs before in the past and things have gotten through, but so far, Nod32 has been perfect. Like someone mentioned above, they do have a 30 day trial, so give it a shot, I'm sure you'll fall in love with it.
