You can say what you want about who sold more albums, the beatles or elvis or garth brooks or whomever but when they compile the lists of all time top records (critics lists not by sales ) you always see the beatles at the top of those lists. Here is the most recent one done by rolling stone. ]

Only one John Lennon. Soul rebel, I've read your JL related posts before. You of all people should know no one holds a candle to John's vocals/songwriting, aside from Macca. Nor would it be possible for any modern artist to advance music/stir up as much controversy (culimination of the 60's/right time and place), nor go out in (unintentional) matyr-like fashion. Lennon's music is legendary, as is his story.
