WordPress spam.
Any plugin suggestions to combat blog spam would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to turn off comments completely but am looking for a good plugin to verify that comments are being submitted by a human before they get through.

Put a note on the comment form that urls are not allowed and will blacklist the comment.
Add "www.", "http://", and ".com", ".biz", etc, to the comment blacklist. Works pretty well. |
Be nice to the SEOs out there and just leave your comments completely open!

Spam Karma is easy to configure and very effective.

You misspelled "automattic."
No we didn't. :) haha |
I turned off comments and STILL get alerts to approve/delete comments - pretty much all from the same Indian spammers. I can't figure out how they are posting, is there a workaround they are using?
