My Son just turned 2 years old, and at this point.....

I have every Barney, and Blues Clues song plastered in my head.

I'm seriously considering throwing the big screen in the lake behind my house

Screaming 05-21-2006 09:59 PM

Congrads man

backpack, backpack

got lucky on barney.. but spongebob rules the world

Tam 05-21-2006 10:03 PM

Get used to it hon...... I still swear that my TV only came with those damn shows. My youngest is now 8, so let's add Zack and Cody, don't even know what that damn show is actually called, I just hear it SOOOOOOO much. And That's So Raven.... and a few others. I swear at times I have it in surround sound because she goes in her room and cranks that shit up, and then she'll come out here and crank this up out here.

There is one she watches now that drives me right up the fucking wall, and I don't even know the name of it, ALL I hear the whole time it is on is "AMANDA PLEASE"!!!!!!!!

OH MY GOD, I almost forgot about that one. My husband would get up every morning for the longest time, get his coffee, go into my room where she had that damn show blaring and the first thing he'd shoot me on ICQ was about 500 damn "backpacks"...... LMAO

Spunky 05-21-2006 10:05 PM

Wait until he starts ripping shit out of the cupboards and throws tantrums when he gets busted

pr0 05-21-2006 11:03 PM

Adam_M 05-21-2006 11:34 PM

Dora rocks.

I was told the guy off Blues Clues got locked up for possession of cocaine.

Happy Birthday to your boy!!

reynold 05-22-2006 04:21 AM

that's good to hear man, congrats and I wish your baby a good health all the way.

KRL 05-22-2006 04:24 AM

Don't worry dude, it all passes with time, and in about 10 years, you'll know the lyrics to every Metallica song.

:thumbsup :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

Pete-KT 05-22-2006 04:29 AM

Sounds like your having a blast bobby, don't forget my offer still stands ;)

Rankings 05-22-2006 05:26 AM

The words of encouragement help, I thank you all, and Sponge Bob as well as Dora are there too, but fortunately, their songs are short, and not so often in comparison.

He is addicted to 1 particular Barney, and Blues Clue, and I kid you not... Both are musicals!

Sarah - GTS 05-22-2006 06:09 AM

My little guy is almost 4, now its Spiderman Spiderman, friendly neighbourhood spiderman.................over and over again!!

ajrocks 05-22-2006 07:31 AM

2bet you must embrace the kids songs or they will make you a homicidal manic. Watch out for myjah, she might already be nuts and plotting your death.

Sarah_Jayne 05-22-2006 08:14 AM

I am sorry to hear about Barney..but Happy birthday to him :)

fuzebox 05-22-2006 08:27 AM

Damnnnn, I had no idea you guys had a kid, that's awesome.

I basically raised my half brother and sister and know the words to every disney song from a full length feature by heart...

BlingDaddy 05-22-2006 08:33 AM

Mine is three. I know every Dora the Explorer. I know that the "Rescue Pack" can be a hanglider OR a kayak.

I'm glad he no longer has an interest in the "Wiggles", and we've seen all 6 Star Wars more times than I can count. My living room is littered with Light Sabres.

No biggie man! Every parent has to go through it. Just hope he turns 3 very soon! 2 is a "difficult age"...

This is for both of you...

I was just in a 5000 sq. ft., 4 br., 4 ba. house with a pool, on 2 acres, just outside the city. Marble floors, pillars, custom wood work, two jacuzzi tubs in the bathrooms, massive closets, two maids (or nanny) quarters and lemon and mango trees in the back yard.

That's plenty of room to have a room just for the kid(s) to blast anything they want, as loud as they want, under the well-watched eye of a trained and certified nanny ($150 /mo. for 24/7 nanny) and you'll never have to suffer under the hand of Barney or his cronies again.

Oh...did I mention the house is $2500 /mo. or $350,000.

See you soon...

Vitasoy 05-22-2006 11:16 AM

Congrats man.. heh I still remember when my little cousin loved barney

RhiannonAPM 05-22-2006 11:41 AM

Barney isnt allowed in my house. My son (5) loves Fosters Home For Imaginary Pets and im kinda fond of it myself. My two year old doesnt have a very good attention span so she just plays with toys while the tv is on. But some how she loves Elmo but me or my mom doesnt put Sesame Street on so we have no clue how she got to like him.

Gina 05-22-2006 12:09 PM

I was just saying this weekend how happy I am that my kids are older because we want to watch the same movies now, and when they were little I thought I'd go bonkers from repeated viewings of children's programming. Two is such a fun and cute age, but those shows...they get to you. Hell, I've still got a Blue's Clues Thinking Chair in my livingroom, and my kids are teenagers.
