Just came back from this movie.

I have to say its the best movie i have EVER seen! :thumbsup

I would not say it was the best I have seen, but I will say it was very good despite the critics poor ratings. It becomes painfully clear that the catholic church does not want you knowing much about the truth of its origins. Me and hubby loved it!

Also if you want a good read, that is similar, and along the same lines, read the Hyram Key. It is about the masons, but it uncovers a lot of the same things. Ironically using the bible to guide the investigation.

Me too!! It was the best movie I've EVER seen! Not. It was just okay.

I didn't read the book and really enjoyed the film.

I would still watch it eventhough I am hearing lots of negative feedback about it.

Read the book, interesting but awfully written.

Saw the movie and it is much better made than the book is written. I don't know about Hanks as the main character though.

Nothing that will change your life but an entertaining 160 minutes!

It's a good movie. Not the best I've seen, but it's really good.

Critics gave it bad ratings cuz that's just how they are, they like to try to seem important and saying it was good would just be too easy. I never listen to critics anyway, who the fuck is someone to tell me if a movie is good or not, they don't know what I like. They are just a bunch of windbags who like to hear themselves speak...

And, no, I didn't read the book, but my GF did, and she said the movie was good, but they left a lot out from the book, and I told her that's why it's called a Screenplay and not a Book.

Its a poor film, with no suspence, little in the way of twists and turns. With the biggest cop out ending Ive seen for a long time. Anti climax is a word I would use, but that would suggest a climax had been built in the first place.

It started poorly and went downhill fast, to reach a rushed cop out finish. Its a diluted version, of a not very good book, for people who are to stupid or lazy to read.

Another poor film turned out by hollywood for the masses :2 cents:

great book, not a literary masterpiece, but a page-turner none the less. 3 hours is pretty damn long, but then again Audrey Tautou is pretty damn HOT! thanks for the reviews guys, I'll check it out for sure :thumbsup

I saw it yesterday, it bored the hell out of me. I wasn't amazed that the guy next to us fell asleep. A bit disappointing, esp considering Ron Howard, Tom Hanks and the girl from Amelie are in this project together: that should stand for quality.

I thought it sucked.

I really enjoyed the movie. Now I'm gonna read the book. I heard people who read the book were a bit disappointed.

I didnt read the book and saw the flick. I wasnt too amused since im a history buff and much of the fact/myth talked about I already knew. Still interesting nevertheless.
