Dreamweaver is the best html editor.

You can download the new MX trial for free at Macromedia.com

I am not talking about an HTML editor. I am talking about Desktop publishing software that will create news paper style pages and convert the results into html.

Oh, I get it now. You might try Adobe InDesign, I think it can do that. Not sure about the latest version of Quark & whether it can export to web pages.

Mr.Fiction:

Thanks for the suggestion. I have checked it out and I may give it a shot.

it's either indesign or quark. everything else (publisher etc) are cut down versions.

Quark is what the pro's use.

I've always used notepad for everything, is dreamweaver and all these other tools actually easier to do things, or just more complicated in the long run ?

Even InDesign 1.5 exports html quite well, so I think 2.0 is even better, though I haven't tried yet
