World Of Warcraft Funeral Massacre (video)

I'm not sure if any of you have seen or heard about this, but a Horde player died in real life, so in the game, they had a funeral for the character, the stupid thing is that they were on a Player Vs Player server and were in a Contested zone (open to be killed for those that don't know). I guess the zone was the girl's favorite zone, that's why it was there.

Here's the clip to show what happend -

If this is all true, the people who did that should be shot. In real life, that is.

Anyone who deliberately and knowingly makes an effort to interfere with people honoring a recently deceased friend, is the lowest kind of scum possible.

Spudstr 05-21-2006 12:14 PM

After Shock Media 05-21-2006 12:18 PM

Compare it to GFY. If a GFY member dies, people will probably make a thread about it in remembrance of the person who died. Would it be a scummy thing to do to start a flame war and post goatse in the thread?

Same thing :2 cents:

No GFY is a message board and WoW is an online game so it is not the same thing.

Though if you wish to argue your point, there have been injuries, deaths, and other very bad news brought up here were other users would flame the victim.

It's the same thing in the sense that both are about people remembering online friends in the place where they knew them, although that place is generally mostly irrelevant to the actual subject.

As for the people who have flamed victims on GFY... wouldn't you say that those are worthless scumbags as well?

Yes, it's a virtual game. Where people were gathering to remember a friend of sorts who had died in real life.

Uh last i recalled my mission on gfy was to chat/talk about things. not kill you.. unlike in WoW.. a PvP server is exactly that i am out to kill you whenever i see you.

that isn't gfy.

On a message board yes. In an online game no.
The users took the risk and held their ceremony in a location where the could of been attacked. Maybe they should of hired some guards or something.

Yes, and they were dumb enough to hold it in a PVP area? I mean.. HELLLLO?

On a message board called GFY, flamings, postings of goatse and random insults are pretty much the order of the day. So, with your argument, someone posting about the death of someone else on GFY is taking the risk of all those things.

That doesn't change the fact that those doing it are scum.

(btw, it is important to note that, from the story with this vid, this was not just a random attack on a bunch of people, but a deliberate attack on the people remembering the person, with full knowledge that someone had actually died)

For many, their sole mission on GFY is to spam or stir shit. In certain situations you have to have some respect, though.

A random attack would have been something different, but this was just disgusting behaviour.

Perhaps they thought people would have the decency not to deliberately disturb something like that?

NoWhErE 05-21-2006 01:39 PM

Ok, now I know I'm out of the loop cause I was watching that and wondering what the hell is going on.

I guess it would have helped if the quality was better and you could read what the hell people were typing

AdultInsider Cloner 05-21-2006 01:51 PM
