Review sites & bad reviews?

Just wondering.. Have you ever seen a paysite on a review site recieve a unfavorable review?

Got links to one?
I suppose the reviewer don't make sales then, would they?

Just curious..

It seems the best review sites are the ones that give real opinions. Those are the ones that tend to have better customer retention and return customer refferals. Not every site can be a "10". :2 cents:

I think many of the bigger review sites give honest reviews and even include sites that didnt get favorable opinions. I know sirrodney.com does at least.

Sometimes even negative or neutral reviews generate sales!

I know I've written some bad reviews for sites that simply weren't up to par. And it could be for different reasons. Maybe they're just new and there's not enough content, maybe the member's area is heavy on the feeds and light on the real stuff, shitty navigation, etc. If every review you write is full of praise for EVERYTHING, how much trust do you think it instills in the review site surfer? Once you lose the surfer's trust, you lose sign-ups.

I post all reviews, even if they're bad.

I'm not interested in writing a review, just wondering if I should risk submitting my site for review. I was thinking, well, what if I got a bad review, then I'm screwed. :1orglaugh

if you run a review site that has a members area, forums, comments, etc.. then giving honest reviews is a necessity

Try x3guide.com .. slamming crappy sites since 2001. I'd say quite a few have followed since then.

I have been reviewed a few times now, and the first couple were spot on. They pointed out the areas of my site that were not up to par. But, my last review was way off.. they picked out things that just out of this league. Like saying there wasn't a cam schedual, I guess he missed the "Live Cams" button on the top center of my main members page.. And other things that everyone has found with no problems.. So, I am on the fence about reviews now.

If your site doesnt have at least 100 GB of exclusive content and update every day with movies and pictures, expect the review to be bad.
