No, no one believes there's 'shit'. It's a conspiracy. People claim to have seen or smelled shit. Some even claim to have stepped in some. Our lexicons are filled with phrases and idioms regarding shit but the government has yet to announce that shit is real.
There've been Congressional investigations into shit but witnesses and whistleblowers end up changing their testimony or disappearing altogether. Some witnesses claim that 'Men in White' show up mysteriously whenever anyone says they've seen some shit.
Rumor still surrounds what many call the biggest shit coverup in history. Back in 1947 a rancher said he found a pile of shit. The military showed up and hauled the shit away. It's said the shit was taken apart and pieces sent to various laboratories. Word has it through Freedom of Information Act files that some of that shit went to the Pentagon and was back engineered so that we could make our own shit before the Soviets did. Witnesses were hushed up about that shit.
Shit turns up in history too. Old cave paintings show cavemen with shit. Some say it's not a depiction of shit but something else and that scientists and shit believers are just seeing what they want to believe. Even paintings of repute show shit in them so shit may have been around for as long as man has walked the Earth.
Some people actually claim to have been abducted by shit. That's another story altogether.
So since only crazy people believe in shit and since no shit has landed on the White House lawn I guess shit will remain a mystery. |
