CCBill is getting crazy with the AUP Violations

Just look what I just recieved:

http://www.unrealbank.com/members/
Terms, Themes, and Marketing (Bodily Excretions )
Comment: url to sweet members (hosted bonus content from sweet money)

The above link is under "sweet members." The above URL contains text references to scat. This is a violation of CCBill's AUP. All references of this nature must be removed.

----

Are they losing it over at CCBill? Only ref to scat I could find at sweet members is this "It looks like scat, feels like scat but man its just chocolate!"... :1orglaugh

Feel free to jump in Max.. CCBill doesn't like your hosted content!

Rosie 05-20-2006 10:51 AM

Glad it's not just us then - seems like CCBill have been all over eveyone's asses all week. I wonder if they've had their wrists slapped by their bank or Visa?

Jensen 05-20-2006 10:58 AM

and now they hit me with another one: (this one is good people)

http://www.unrealpass.com/
Commerce (False Advertising ) I could not locate these sites. The tour must reflect the actual members content.

----

Christ, who is the idiot that is working over there tonight? Joint members areas are pretty common these days...?

xxxjay 05-20-2006 11:10 AM

we got the same thing

Screaming 05-20-2006 11:11 AM

thats not good.

The Ghost 05-20-2006 11:11 AM

**Knocking on wood...

So far nothing but smooth sailing with CCbill

Jensen,

If there are any questions or concerns you might have regarding our AUP, please feel free to contact us at anytime. We will be happy to discuss any specific site issues with you.

Regards,

thanks, replied to the violation email and haven't heard back... any idea why you guys would send out something as stupid as that?

Brad Mitchell 05-20-2006 11:40 AM

I'm very impressed with CCBill. It's not often you see companies in our industry doing their job so thoroughly! If 3rd party billing companies had always so thoroughly reviewed porn sites for fraud, false advertising and prohibited content then we would all be much better off today but because they would have been pro-active... and pre-empted so many chargebacks.

Brad

How did I know that was coming :winkwink:

Webby 05-20-2006 11:47 AM

Ah... this explains some weird ICQ's from a couple of other webmasters. Some of em have had sites running since the 90's and without problems.

Once again the lesson is - never trust any one processor (or anyone) with your total biz. (And that is not specifically addressed to CCBill, but *any* processor)

Solution? Let em resolve it quick or walk with your feet. :pimp

Right now, any owners that link to sweet members and have porn passes are violating ccbills aup and that is pretty insane if you ask me. Giving people access to all the content instead of a single site should be a good thing if you ask me, how can that possibly hurt?

You, that's who.

There's a big difference between talking about a thing and actually having that thing on your site.

Is CCBill concerned with mere words or with actual content violations?

me neither.. what they wrote: "once logged in, I could not locate these sites" :helpme

edit: all the content from all the sites are of course present and you've gotta be pretty drunk not to find it all

That is utterly retarded of CCBill. The site ASACP talks about Child Porn, and has the words "child porn" right on their website. Does that mean we should all stop linking to ASACP?

Fact is, ASACP's site contains no CP, and the site here in question doesn't appear to have any actual scat content on it.

So what's the problem? Looks as though someone over at CCBill is the problem.

Good comparison. I would hit up someone at ccbill and discuss this right away beacuse it doesnt make much sense to me.

MaddCaz 05-20-2006 12:36 PM

hehehehehe

x3guide 05-20-2006 12:40 PM

Oh I hope they start thinking and allow fecal matter soon. What ken heppen if they's dont's. ?? NATS only o'rly??!?

Jensen 05-20-2006 12:51 PM

Hinc 05-20-2006 01:15 PM

Yes. Seems theyhahaha180;ve gone through alot of sites this week. They had me change a couple of things too.

TheSenator 05-20-2006 01:24 PM

CCBill is in the small bus.

Jensen 05-20-2006 01:25 PM

ok.. I've had a chat with ccbill james and it seemes like the scat issue is up to max and sweet .. the false advertising issue will be discussed on monday within ccbill

tedwinters 05-20-2006 01:34 PM

or start the move the other processors...

Hinc 05-21-2006 07:44 AM

Its always good to have secondary processors ready.
But, wonder what made ccbill go at it so much, heard of alot of sites being contacted.

Choppa 05-21-2006 09:30 AM

No qualms here with CCBill, Hiya to Doug @ CCBill

maxsweet 05-22-2006 01:20 PM

Hey Jensen.. just got your message. From what I'm understanding the problem is with the text that's in your members area that links to our site? If that's the issue, that's easy enough to change.

If you guys look at our site: It's Just Chocolate there is no reference whatsoever to scat. This is considered a WAM fetish site :winkwink:

Or am I missing something?

its the text on sweet members (see the itsjustchocolate box) actually.. ccbill denies me linking to anything that has scat mentioned.. so its not on my site and they deny me linking to it.. :Oh crap

maxsweet 05-22-2006 02:17 PM

Ok gotcha. Well its probably better that was changed for the good of all our affiliates. The text has been updated now.. check it out and see what you think :winkwink:

Trixie 05-22-2006 02:23 PM

Last year I had a frustrating experience with this type of thing by linking to Margaret Cho's blog (the comedian? gay rights activist?) which apparently CCBill blacklisted for using banned words. Here's more info:

http://tastytrixie.com/blog/2005/09/...garet-cho.html

I learned that it does no good to reply to those emails, and you need to go over those guys' heads to someone at CCBill who can actually make a decision otherwise you are beating your head against a brick wall. When I talked to someone higher up they stopped bugging us.

Another one of my favorites is someone who got a violation notice for bestiality because of a photo set where a guy was dressed as the easter bunny fucking his girlfriend.

Jensen 05-22-2006 02:44 PM

max: thanks for helping me out.. guess that "violation" is out the window

trixie: thanks for posting the blog.. do read it folks
