Where does a server guy go when he needs a server guy?

As some of you know I can get around a server without much of a problem. If you have worked for or with me then you know I can code my way around most of my projects.. But what can a guy do when he can't figure the shit out?

Hey, we all hit that fucking locked nut at some point. You are doing a simple oil change or front break job for your mom telling her how easy it is and how much money she is going to save and then there is that fucking goddam bolt that won't fucking come out and you spend 7 hours getting it out listening to her, "I told you so," and "Just put it back together and I'll have my guy look at it."

Well, if it happens to you when you have a server acting up, I highly recommend the people at www.Emuadmin.com. One of them posts here as DarkSoul. He and I didn't get off so well in the beginning since we both are know-it-all, do-it-yourself'ers... But I conceeded and figured I'd better just pay the man and get shit going and it paid off big time.

I normally get myself out of just about any jam but juggling my own projects and then having to fix something my hosting company couldn't even fix got me thinking about just scrapping the project altogether. The folks at www.Emuadmin.com came in and saved the day and my project. Took only 4 hours to convince my host to give them root and wham, problem solved in 4 minutes...

So if you have something fuckered going on and make a lot of money, give the admin work to the guys with admin in their name, www.Emuadmin.com!

You make far to much money to be your own server admin!

i only here good stuff about them....i personally use www.servergenius.com myself when i can't figure something out...

That is one thing I really like about the people at DirectAdmin. I would guess that at least 90% of our servers run with this control panel. If someone has a problem, and we can't figure it out, DA can usually fix the problem.

They may not be fast with their response time (total crap shoot as to when is best time to email them), but they do respond and never charge, even if it turns out to not be their problem.

If they were faster I would say they reminded me of me.

But it is good to have someone you can call on.

If you run a business site and you're losing money while your site is down
I don't think anyone affords to spend hours looking for a solution.
If your sites are a hobby and having them down for hours doesn't cause
you any lose, ofcourse its not worth having someone keeping an eye 24/7.

There is something to be said for not having to get your hands dirty with the tedious technical work, if you have the cash flow to afford the help, or if you make more hour than you can pay someone else to do it, while you continue along with your own work.
