Is it unprofessional for an affiliate rep to show her tits online?

Is it unprofessional for an affiliate rep to show her tits online? Assumes a female rep! Don't want those man boobs!! Have my own!

Libertine 05-19-2006 06:49 PM

Depends on the marketing strategy. If the company is pursuing an image of wild fun, then no, it isn't unprofessional.

OG LennyT 05-19-2006 06:49 PM

no, its actually encouraged

Sly 05-19-2006 06:50 PM

Not anymore that it would be unprofessional for a guy to run around at an industry event with a fake dick hanging out of his pants.

I like boobs. Boobs are cool.

I agree. There are plenty of different marketing strategies. The key is whether or not it fits within the given corporate culture and image.

pussyluver 05-19-2006 06:51 PM

Think it also depends on the person and their position.

A solo girl site lick CrazNakedChick = of course. Or tASSy who I think did content before = sure.

A new rep though?

pr0 05-19-2006 06:51 PM

find me at a show....we'll smoke a blunt, do shots of goose & rail a couple dozen strippers in the pooper

unprofessional? yup....

but that being said, i still got alot of friends :)

No.

Unless she has saggy tits.

In that case she should be fired.

pussyluver 05-19-2006 06:54 PM

So ya think the new woman at Dating Gold shouldn't?

Loryn at adult.com (damn is she hot), well she is doing a spread for Playboy I think???? Oh that is so very ok with me.

Spunky 05-19-2006 06:54 PM

Not all all,in fact they all should

RogerV 05-19-2006 06:55 PM

whatever it takes to close a deal.. thats what I expect from a rep

I think with a few exceptions, it's a bad move. SlickCash Sarah never did. But then she wasn't much of a rep IMO.

DaddyHalbucks 05-19-2006 06:56 PM

Dunno. Please post the pics.

I'd have to see them to know for sure.

If you don't want to be looked at as content I would'nt recommend flashing your tits.

You want to take a look at professional women in the adult industry take a look at Shaliza from Epassporte, Kimmykim, Joan from ASACP, Kathy from Natnet, Kristen from Xbiz, Laurel from Hustler and Sarah from AFF. Those are just a few off the top of my head :)

Doesn't KimmyKim get a little crazy from time to time. Not sure if she ever flashed???? But maybe???

pr0 05-19-2006 07:22 PM

If you worked in the body building business...would it not be cool for your reps to flex their muscle on a trade show floor?

I see it the same way.....only a different trade

nico-t 05-19-2006 07:22 PM

on the contrary, its dedication! sluts who do that get my full respect!

Eager for boob shots my self.

Another discussion based on the assumption that a woman can't do it all-be a sex symbol AND be a smart businesswoman. Why be so closed-minded? It blows my mind how men look down on the women whose flesh they are peddling, and any other woman who shows such flesh. Showing the skin is no worse than selling it, guys.*two cents*

Well showing tits in this industry SHOULD be nothing new....

WiredGuy 05-19-2006 08:54 PM

Depends on the company image that they're going after. Once you start showing your titties, its hard not to be labelled as content and these things do follow you in this business, even if you change companies...

As someone who has been in the role of female sales rep for quite some time in this industry I would have to discourage the flashing of boobs to a webmaster.

It is hard to be a sales rep in this industry male or female. I see posts all the time about how much of a waste of time webmasters find sales reps to be unless they are schmoozing them at a show or fixing a payout issue.

I think it is harder for a female sales rep since so many of the webmasters seem to have a tainted view, due to the actions of a FEW female sales reps, about why females, particularly attractive females, are hired by affiliate programs.

While the short term gain maybe a couple of sales the long term result is that you are no longer taken seriously and it is more difficult to get respect as a business woman.

I think if you want to get attention doing things like Lori Z's dress of business cards, or just being recognized for hard work will benefit the program that you represent as well as your own reputation.

pussyluver 05-19-2006 09:00 PM

Would you still respect a rep that flashed?

tASSy - yes - she has her own program though now
Loryn - Damn yes
Mary34D - ?????? - she made me laugh and Juicy hard!
SlickCash Sarah - She should have?
Tam - don't know what she looks like - send pics!!!
.
.
.

Kinda depends on what they have to show. Some very competent reps that just don't really have the body to show. Of course some like the amateur or mature or BBW look....

There are excptions!

Who here doesn't respect Loryn? Elli is high on everyones list with respect to respect even though she is content. Vanilla is another example. The list goes on.

rants 05-19-2006 09:16 PM

Very unprofessional.

I am female myself so I'm not easily impressed by other women much, especially if they are annoying and make an ass out of themselves.

I also hate women who try to be cute on the board like "oooh hi guys... kisses" and shit like that. Just go fuck yourself already attention whore.

I wouldn't like to be flashed by any rep male or female. Most of the time I don't really need assistance either, I already know what I'm doing. Only once in awhile if I need to change my address or something similar but not often.

That has really nothing to do with. I have respect for models and it is okay for them to show flesh BECAUSE THAT IS THEIR JOB.

An affiliate's rep job is not to flash their tits. They should have some damn knowledge, be courteous, be smart, have customer service skills, actually know about traffic and conversions.

What does flashing have to do with this?

I don't want my lawyer flashing me.

I don't want my doctor flashing me.

I don't want my grocery clerk flashing me.

I expect them to do their job description and better do it damn well.
I expect the same of my affiliate rep.

Well thank you very much!!! :wetkiss

I think it depends on the way a person acts that makes the difference. This is the porn industry and people having fun and being a little crazy at the right time and place is one thing. We are lucky to be in an industry were we can have fun and let loose. I handle all affiliates with respect and do everything I can to help them in every way possible. Business is business and pleasure and pleasure. Some women can be sexy and professional, some women can't.

I think Chase said it best, (and it's worth being said for the third time :winkwink: )

Sorry you are absolutely right and I think you can also include Sunny on that list too as well as a few other exceptions I am sure we have left out.

l had originally written but edited out a paragraph that excempted girls that rep their own sites or have made a transition from content to rep.

I think though it is generally very difficult to be able to do both. Hats off to those who can, but I think if you are starting out in this industry, and you are starting out as a hired sales rep it is important that you establish yourself as such before making very bold moves. Loryn is a perfect example of that. Hot, smart and able to push the limits!

Elissa really is the sweetest girl i've met in this business...out of just about anyone. Well her...odie & turboangel...all sweethearts who i got alot of respect for. And none of them go around flashing their tits.

However, for those of you who do flash your tits, i'll respect you just as much.

Loryn 05-19-2006 09:29 PM

Oh and I will add flashing myself at an event or show is not too smart. I have very professional sexy pics of myself that several of my friends, and affiliates who have become friends, have seen that show breasts. That has nothing to do with my job, or with any business at hand. Like I said business is business and pleasure is pleasure. Keep them separate as best you can and respect will come naturally!!! :thumbsup

pr0 05-19-2006 09:30 PM

oh & if you & tanker still have a photo of me in scooby doo boxers...i'd appreciate if you deleted it : )

gracias

If you are asking for an opinion of whether rampant nudity and exhibitionism from someone who represents a program or programs is right and proper, I am HARDLY the best person to ask.
