What makes a great affiliate manager/account rep...
FlashCash is about to hire a few account rep/affiliate managers in order to help our webmasters make the most of their traffic, so I thought it might be a good idea to first ask everyone what makes a great rep.
Who your favorite reps? What makes them better then the rest? What do you want from your reps? Let us know what you think. -B PS We will make an official post later that we are hiring for the rep gig, but if you are interested or know someone that is perfect for the job let me know. buddy AT flashcash DOT com |
I just want a rep that is more then someone that drags in new people. I want someone to work hand in hand with me to help make the most out of my traffic.
Seems reps only focus on gettin new people to the programs, not work with the people they have sending traffic to make more out of it for both. |
Buddy you know im the best! hahahaha
How many reps know that you got attacked by a shark? I sence a lot of haters in this thread. |
All the best are already taken... :2 cents:!!

|
Why haters? hope not...nothing wrong with hearing why people like dealing certain people.. I mean Im not going to change who I am, but I want to learn & work with people the best I can.. & thats usually the best way EVERYONE ends up happy & makes some good coin ;)
I know I'll be working my butt off to try & be on one of these lists one day ;) |
#1 someone who isn't going to steal from you
#2 someone who can bring in fresh meat AND keep on it with them till thier links are UP #3 someone who understands ALL forms of traffic and has some sort of experience as a webmaster. That is a must if you expect them to help your webmasters. #4 someone with common sense with decision making #5 someone who KNOWS EVERYONE yet doesn't stop at just the clique they are comfortable with. #6 someone who brings ideas to the table that will make the company more money, even if it means that it won't increase their own income directly. #7 a self starter that doesn't need to be babysat #8 someone that actually enjoys what they do and believes in the product they are selling/representing #9 someone who is around after normal business hour and on weekends, at least to some degree. #10 someone who doesn't burn bridges or scoff at webmasters if they are small or have weak english I stopped there.. what else am I missing? |
a big set of boobies?
jk :winkwink: |
Anyone interested in being a sales rep for Reality Cash / Playboy Cash please contact me.
|
For me:
1. They do not random ICQ spam me. 2. They leave me the fuck alone unless I contact them. 3. When I do contact them during reasonable business hours they must be present or reply within 1-2 hours max. 4. They are capable of getting what I ask of them done within reason, and only rarely have to ask someone else first. 5. In the event they must ask the boss, they get back to me promptly without myself having to follow up with them and ask about it again. 6. They know what the fuck they are doing and are qualified to give advice or answers. 7. They are not just a damn answering machine service for the program owners. |
I would think a good rep would be honest (even in the face of adversity) and follow-through with all affiliates no matter how small the task or small the affiliate. Treat all affiliates with respect.
Lastly, someone who has TGPd, galleried, blogged, PPS, designed, etc... experience does help : ) |

awesome list - many of the things I was going to say are there I have known some kickass rep's who get little attention but look after their clients extremely well without boasting or showing off. |
99% = Postcount
01% = All that other stuff.... J/k |

What do you mean by an "answering machine service for the program owners"? |

I agree with this list a 100% |
Honesty is HUGE - don't make promises you can't or won't keep.
Commitment - dedication to your affiliates and their changing needs/wants. Availability - make yourself available to affiliates in multiple ways and not always just during 'regular' business hours. Follow up - check in to make sure that your affiliates are satisfied and successful with the tips or materials that you provided them with. Don't just hand them a fish - TEACH them to fish. Relationships - take the time to get to know your affiliates, everyone of them are different. There are hundreds of programs they COULD be promoting so find out why they are promoting yours and what you can do for them. |
What makes a great affiliate manager/account rep...?
Well, the first name has to rhyme with Flora and the last name has to be Lee. As long as that's in order then everything else is gravy. |

-- Not only meet, but exceed the expectations that the webmasters promoting the respective program have come to expect from the program.
-- Someone that takes ownership of the webmasters issues from start to finish. This in itself is a MAJOR point that most people miss in jobs. -- Someone that actually has previous sales experience to handle the sales issues that arise when dealing with affiliates. Either you can sell or you cant, its not a taught skill .... I speak from 10+ years of sales experience in the IP carrier space..running mainstream affiliate programs currently and project management roles. -- Someone that you can trust almost blindly that has the companies vision in mind when working there. You have to be 110% professional at all times, This means - acting the part of a professional sales person, not being a drunken asshat at shows doing things that have you apologizing later on boards for. You are the face of the company you represent, make it the best possible face you can. -- Be organized with everything you touch in your business's dealings. -- Know how to develop relationships over time. You are not going to make the webmasters send you 1000000 joins a day after 1 conversation.... but, in time once the relationship is in place, you will have people depend on you as a trusted resource. -- Treat each webmaster as you would expect to be treated if you were on the other end of the line. You would want to be respected and taken seriously, do the same for them and the word gets out that you are someone worth knowing. |
