I agree. I lived in Holland till I was 12 and then we moved to Socal. Socal people are much more fashionable and take care of themselves better.
For example, the Netherlands only got MAC Cosmetics recently, when people here have been using it for years. Plus Dutch people are not really into fashion, I was reading some article and it said that the dutch stores don't carry a certain style of Marc Jacobs shoes because they only like to wear sensible shoes, so no heels/fancy stuff.
Europeans are probably more low maintenance. Americans more high... and tend to spend more on clothes/makeup/perfume.
In Europe most people are probably not as much into designer clothes or makeup, everyone is more au' naturel, even though all the big fashion houses are based in Europe.
I never heard of someone in Holland getting professional makeup done for a party unless their a celeb or tv personality and here in the US kids do it all the time for just regular parties/clubbing/going out.
I heard French people have got good style though. I want to visit so I can see for myself about this "french non-chalant" style everyone talks about.
