Talking about Trojans/Toolbars .. and CCBILL

About 4-5 days ago our sales from CCBILL changed in a very strange way .. it's like 90% of the sales we usually got from 00:00 - 08:00 are vanished into thin air (CCBILLs server time)

Anyone else seeing a strange pattern from CCBILL the last 4-5 days?

Sosa 05-18-2006 08:19 AM

been very slow for me during the same period. You would notice it alot more then me with the quanity that you send though. Lets hope things turn around soon.

bigdog 05-18-2006 08:27 AM

For as much traffic as you proably send to some programs I would try to convice some of them to get cascading billing.

I make it a policy never to bitch. But in this case I see the EXACT same trend. No sales till about 8am eastern from CCBILL traffic which is steady as ever, then things start picking up after 8am. Some of my partners are convinced CCBILL is running a scam on us, but I do my best to explain they just have some kind of scrubbing issue going on or something. But then again as they always say on the phone, "everything is just fine" LMFAO!!!!!!!!! Usually things do turn around after a few days of crazy coincedences like this that we all see and CCBill always denies.

CCBill how about an explaination?? :winkwink:

Choppa 05-18-2006 08:29 AM

did you speak with CCBill about the matter. Did you track them to the CCBill page ??

Yeah, but they can't see anything different as usual. And if a trojan is stealing the traffic they wouldn't - because the sales would still be there

I see the same, but not only now. But its not only ccbill, its all processors. Some days start great and continue slow and some are the opposite. Its just how it this, if you have for example 100 sales a day, you can't expect to have 4 sales each hour every day of the year.

E$_manager 05-18-2006 09:33 AM

so be sure that everything is allright there.

bringer 05-18-2006 09:36 AM

call and complain. they'll say everything is ok on their end but sales usually pick up within a day and convert normal for 2-3 days straight.

NTSS 05-18-2006 09:39 AM

My ccbill sales have dropped dramatically also

CCBill is not running a damn scam. Outside of Lawerence Conner, that's the dumbest thing I've heard in a very long time.

Biskoppen, just to be clear on this, every time we have done a test signup on your account, it has gone through with no hitches...the tests with your cards, as well as my personal cards.

If anybody notices anything not working correctly or performing strangely, please do not hesitate to bring it up, we can test to make sure that transactions are going through correctly

Hey M,

Sure thing. Every single test signup I've ever done went through just fine...

Corvette,

I take it ccbill sees nothing weird about the amount of sales in the named time frame does it?
Maybe you could take a look to see if some affiliates have a huge increase in sales in this exact timeframe and where these sales are coming from.
If some affliates see huge drops and ccbill is still steady then other affiliates must show a huge rise?

CCbill is a big one so it would be very rewarding for certain people to write a program that changes linking codes into their own. This could happen at all levels.

MaddCaz 05-18-2006 10:22 AM

is it some virus shit?

If it's a trojan or toolbar switching affiliate codes however, that only means his computer isn't affected. Couldn't you check your system for signups for other affiliates from his normal referring urls to see if there's anything?

justsexxx 05-18-2006 10:45 AM

Well adding your own affiliate ID to codes(spyware wise) would make sense. Also when the 'spyware' is smart he won't send joins to ccbill, but direct to spyware.com/redirect.cgi and redirect decides what sponsor to use. So no way ccbill could track this guy...

I doubt this is the case tho...
