Terms in moviepass.tv
In exchange for receiving the benefits provided by the Software, you hereby grant MoviePass permission to utilize the disk space and bandwidth of your computer.

Now here's the good stuff from mediapipe.tv

A. In order to receive the benefits provided by the MediaPipe Licensed Software, you hereby grant permission to MediaPipe and/or any MediaPipe providers to utilize the disk space and bandwidth of your computer to share files that have been downloaded using the Network or provided by other means. This means that once you have downloaded the MediaPipe Software you are granting MediaPipe permission to use your computer as a Server that delivers files from your computer to other users of the Software, similar to a P2P Network.

8. SUPPLEMENTAL SOFTWARE

A. While MediaPipe is installed on your computer, it may from time to time, download or install software from other software vendors ("Supplemental Software"). This software may include but is not limited to media players and digital rights management software. Supplemental Software comes with its own user licenses or other terms and conditions to which you will be subject. You should read these documents carefully. If you elect to uninstall the MediaPipe software at some future time you may activate the installation of various Supplemental Software applications that may not be compatible with the MediaPipe Software. In the event you do not wish to download this Supplemental Software you should not accept this MediaPipe license. Downloading and using the Supplemental Software constitutes your acceptance of the accompanying Supplemental Software licenses and terms and conditions, and your acknowledgement that you have read and understood them.

So. Anyone installing them gives them permission to install anything else on their computers?? Where's the content coming from? Moviepass.tv is vague in their terms. some from 3rd parties.. some from them and some from??? Peer 2 Peer networks? Is this basically another Guba? moviepass doesn't have a 2257 off their index page.

Their software is actually seen as a trojan if you have Norton installed! Check this: http://securityresponse.symantec.com...n.muvipaz.html

I recommend everyone to stay far away from these people.

Oh, and in case peolple haven't noticed, alot of major sponsors are actually supporting these people by linking to them. They seem to care more about making money than keeping surfers happy. Sponsors like this are ruining the business in the long term, they only think about making money now, and they don't seem to care that 100,000s of users are infected with this shit now because of them.

mediapipe.tv looks like the bad one (based on what you posted) since they say "it may from time to time, download or install software from other software vendors".

The quote from moviepass.tv looks like standard P2P stuff.

But once again thats just based on what you posted... who knows what they really do.

Exactly.. Which if confirmed would mean they would be facilitating the sharing of stolen content.

That might be a reach, but your orginal post says more than enough. They've faded away off GFY it appears. Well other than these threads.

No question that is shit, unethical and so on. What do we do from here besides not promote them?
