ICQ2go (web ICQ) - anyone use it?

http://go.icq.com/

Very handy when you're away from the comp (or you can't be bothered installing ICQ :winkwink: ) but I seem to have a lot of problems with its stability. Often if I am talking to someone it will open a second (duplicate) window when they reply and from there on all of the ICQ windows are blank and it stops responding.

This is under XP Home, I even had probs with W98SE... I suspect it's a dodgy Java runtime... what do you use? Do you have these problems?

Are you going through NAT (Network Address Translation, not NATS ;) ) or a proxy anywhere? My desktop has a live net connected IP but my laptop has a 192.168.x.x IP and icq2go never works... it connects, shows new msgs, then disconnects.

I should mention I'm using the java vers, the newer flash vers also disconnects prematurely. Which ones have you tried?

nope

Ive tried the normal java one on airports, direct dailup and even through the routers here with nat, it disconnects a lot, too much imho
