I ran across a station on my mpeg receiver yesterday (big dish) and was enjoying it so much I looked up their website and found that they stream online:)

The website says that it's a college station (licensed to the University of Washington, Seattle), but they've mentioned several times on-air that the studio is in NYC. It is commercial-free and the DJs seem to be allowed to do their own thing. Good stuff:thumbsup

This is so not what I am looking for in a radio station. After Edie Brickell they played a cool song (Smithereens - Blood & Roses) but I would be annoyed to death with this station between songs I like. I do like more than one style of music but I tend to hit genres based on my mood or what I am doing and this is eccentic to the nth annoying:upsidedow. Jack would be a good station to put on for mixed company, though. They just followed Dolly Parton with Alice Cooper... I have to cut it off now (Bangles - Eternal Flame):upsidedow

love the Bangles. hazy shade of winter.

That song is OK, but Eternal Flame was such an overplayed song I don't ever want to hear it again:upsidedow
