basic rules: if its female end the words in a;if its male end them in O
example female friend-amigA male friend-amigO
anything that inanimate such as a mountain,rock,tree,etc is usually always female so they end in an A example CerrA is a little mountain or a hill
if in English it starts out with SP..... its esp.... in spanish example spouse ould be male ESPOSO and female spouse would be ESPOSA
comprehend is compondre(i never said I can spell spanish) or entiendA(O) ETC ETC ETC

That is easy, my big problem is with verbs and tenses.

i translated songs of Juanes, Shakira - that was a little help, but when it comes to bussiness- talking - i loose myself. Forget everything i ever knew and start to use french words.

If you want to learn verbs and tenses just buy a book and study them. If you want to learn how to speak the only way is to completely immerse yourself, that's how I learned. So if you're going to south america, study before you go and when you get there just jump in, practice what you know, talk talk talk, and you will learn by leaps and bounds each day :winkwink: If you have any questions my icq is below :)
