thats pretty neat smokey.. now start serving up contextual ads based on my post's content and develop a historical profile on what type of ads i should see.

or sell a database of gfy info.. word frequencies, post rates, etc

also try split testing different image/ad sizes and formats..

would also be pretty slick if it detected the current background color of the threads (they change with skins) and served up text-looking links

none that i know of so far .. be a good project though..

you should offer a contextual sig serving service..

or make an adbrite-style network for buying sigs.

keep a commission in the middle.. everyone just puts an img tag to smokey.com/sigserve.php?theirid, etc.. then they get paid on clicks or impressions

its a bit more complicated but not much , gfy wont let you pass variables with img tags , they allow php due to the fact its hard to avoid but no "?" in img tags.. you can get around it with some htaccess trickery though

thats an easy mod_rewrite hack /image/vars/go/here, as im sure you're aware..
