i just re-did a mainstream site for a client

it took about one day for the main index page to be re-cached

then it took about a week for all the content on the site to be re-cached

all the existing pages where .html and there was 50 or so pages

the new site is one file like index.php?pid=12 etc and all pages are now cached

for what it matters it was a pr5 site

I just redid my GF site last week and the new design was cached in 24 hours.
It's a PR3 if that matters.
