Outlook is whacked
Every once in a while, Outlook seems to create extra instances of itself.... but they're not visible. If I pop the Task Man, I can see them in the processes..... and not that's it's doing any damage or anything, but it's annoying as hell because the one side effect of it seems to be that the little new mail icon down in the taskbar just stays there even after you've checked all the new messages....
does this happen to anyone else? |
Never happened to me ...
|
Take your own advise...
Format C :1orglaugh |
Happened to me a few times. Just end the processes.

I'm just really curious to know how it's spawning duplicate processes.... if it's something fucked in Outlook itself, or if there's some other program maybe that's possibly interacting with it and causing it to happen...
|
Can't you just reinstall it so everthing is default?
|
Oh.
No idea. Format c: |

Happens to me once in a while too. Sometimes I have 8-10 instances of msimn.exe running at once. Drives me nucking futs. Seems to only happen if I haven't rebooted in a couple of days or have been playing a lot of games.

It's wiggity-wiggity whack yo
|
AMP broke it..just like the waterjug and the busted shopvac..
|
I don't like Outlook, but since my old computer fried on me, I've been forced to use it.
Anyone know where I can get a copy of Eudora Pro online? |
does that to me too, the receiving mail icon and new mail icon get stuck in the taskbar
|
Yes it happens to me, more now that the klez is out and about. I even shut it off, but it still checks and recieves mail. wtf?

You weren't implying you wanted it for free, were you? |
Has happened to me. Usually after the HD gets a bit beefed up with crap and either a major clearout and defrag or a format c: is needed. Also has happened when I needed to upgrade to more RAM. Hasn't been so much of a problem since upgrading to XP tho....
|
I cant defrag,, it keeps telling me something else is writing to that drive, WTF?

No I didn't say I wanted it for free. |
