FUCK! Never use your main e-mail when you register an account with a programm!
 

I made an account with gmail for the new project a year ago and used it to register in programs. I gave my real e-mail to 20 programs that didn't accept free e-mails and had to change my adress..

I logged in to gmail today!!

914 e-mails
711 in spam
------------
total 1655

We use about 250 programs for the project so it's 6.62 e-mails per sponsor :)
There are good guys that are using e-mail for important news, but some are really misusing this art of comunication...

What really pissed me is that among 711 spam e-mail most were spermamax viagra rolex etc.!!! We used this e-mail only for registration. How the fuck did hahahaha-guys got my email adress???

I don't blame any sponsors.
But think about the security of the data you collect.
I have lost my main e-mail account that i used for 5 years after giving it to 20 programs. How happy am i that i used another e-mail for others...

For webmasters:
Make an e-mail like [email protected] and redirect all the mail to google. Check for updated there keep your private mailbox clean. Now i know that you will get spammed with viagra if you just register in some programms.

What about using the same password sponsor to sponsor?? If they'll rip ya on the email what about other stuff.

No. We generate passwords for each sponsor and store it in our database together with advertising links and FHGs. Then synchronise the data with StatsRemote. Then mix StatsRemote data with hits send to galleries :)

I wish I knew that a few yrs ago ... I am flooded with spam from some programs I promote (very little, thankfully) and they STILL completely ignore my complaints. Pathetic.
