Herman Miller - Mira Chairs

I'm finally going to pony up and buy one of these bad boys. My buddy has one and the thing is incredible. Will make the work day that much better.

Does anyone have any suggestions on buying it? Where to get the best deal? Anything special I need with it?

get the aeron instead

they're nice chairs - but way way way overpriced!

ebay is a good place to start tho :)

Use to work for a mob that fitted out offices with herman miller gear and we'd flog off brand new stuff on ebay every now and then :)

They definitely are overpriced. :upsidedow

However, I figure if it's something I'll be sitting in 8 hours a day, I may as well be real comfy. I'll overpay a few hundred bucks for something like this.

I hear they're worth it.
I need something with nice armwrest padding.

I don't have one but they are sweet.

I treated myself to an Aeron recently and dont regret it. I would definitely recommend getting a used one though as they are expensive. As suggested try Ebay or maybe a used office furniture supplier? My only bugbear is that I am bigger than the average guy and should have bought size C as opposed to B but its still very comfortable.

I've seen them for sale at Costco. But still very expensive. They had a ton of them up for auction when Enron went out of business. I thought I could get a good deal, but they still went for $400-$500 used.

i have heard many times to AVOID EBAY when buying one of these chairs and instead shop at an AUTHORIZED DEALER.

i had an aeron chair for about a year and it was top!
