What should I see in Paris?

I'm going to be in Paris for a day. What should I go see? It's my first time there.

You'll probably see the last guy's jizz dripping out of her.

Oh wait...I thought you meant...ah nevermind.

AdPatron 05-15-2006 11:27 PM

Not that slut.

hova 05-15-2006 11:34 PM

The Louvre.....

Antonio 05-15-2006 11:50 PM

Champs Elysee (sp?), the Eiffel Tower ????

Good luck with their underground/tube/metro, in London you can't get lost using the tube even if you want to, in Paris you'll get lost no matter what - unless you speak French I guess ;)

Rubbish!
I found the Paris metro to make more sense than the tube.
As only who lives / visits London knows, the lines in the tube are constantly closed / semi functional / totally useless.

The metro is awesome, and the buses are pretty good as well..

The champs elysee is the 'main drag' - big road, with La Arch D'Triumph on one end, and another arch at La Defense. It's peppered with ritsy shops, some great caberet (check out the Lido for a really classy, really good show)

Chinatown is pretty good in Paris as well, but for one day, I'd def. recommend a walk from Notre Dame to La tour eiffel via the siene. It'l take you half a day or so to do without stops - and you'll get a lovely sample of paris on the way :)

:1orglaugh :1orglaugh so true, The Louvre, Arc De Triomphe, Notra Dame,
Eiffel Tower, La Bastille, Le Invalides ( burial place of Napolean and other soldiers), The Conciergerie. Dinner cruise along The Siene is also nice.

Do not have Escargo or Frog Legs lol :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

That line to heathrow has been 'under construction' for the past year or so. The rest of the lines do pretty good for a system that carries that many people every day. Of course London would instantly become a friendlier place if they put air conditioning on the tube. In the summer it is hell.

muhahaha, dude England's roads and the tube are 65 times better than the French, as soon as you enter France the road signs miraciously disappear, and you end up 50-60 kms away from where you should be

not to mention the things that you should only see in 3rd World countries, like the post offices with the broken phone boots, or having a woman mopping the loo while you're trying to take a piss

I guess people only see what they want to see, I've only been there once and can honestly say it was a total disappointment, it would probably make a big difference if you have some local dude to show all the places I guess

One day is short ! You can't see everything and must make choices.
All depends of what kind of Paris you wanna see.

If you want to see where Amélie lives, you must visit Montmartre.
If you want to see where Da Vinci Code has been filmed, you must visit Saint Sulpice and Le Louvre...

and if you don't give a shit and just want to see some nice places, check out all the gren areas on this map :winkwink:
