This is a bit of a tech question
I was just given a bare bones system. It is an AMD 1.8
Here is what I need to know I have an old gateway p2 400 and I wanted to know would there be any problems moving all of the parts (floppy, cdr and dvd as well as hard drive) from a pentium system to an AMD system? I am about to swap everything tonight thanks, fuel |
No..... long as you're not mixing and matching cpu's and mainboards and shit...... the CDR's, floppys, and shit aren't specific to the cpu.
swap away.... but first.... format c: |
won't it auto format when i put it in the new machine?

There wont be any problem. Move all the parts, format the harddrive (from a floppy boot disk) then start fresh with a new windows copy. Of course you could use the old windows copy but then things may get fucked up while it updates new drivers with the new system. Although, it may not likely to happen. :2 cents:
