uhuh its like a 15hrs flight from here nice hotels not too bad $1000 for a week or so in Varadero plus plenty of busses cabs choppers to see Havana n so.

So hows Cuba I mean no shit with being there? I can cope with a riffle up my ass on every corner but I wouldnt visit Iran so to speak

Well it's 4 flights from here and about 30hours of traveling...

But it's well worth it...

Few things.. book a hotel for 1 night so you have a place to go on the first day, I stayed at the hotel national which is one of the more interesting hotels I've stayed at.

After that, look around for some live in accommodation, if you are looking to get laid then you can forget about staying at a hotel. NO hotel will let you bring local girls back to your room, no matter how hard you try, trust me :winkwink:

Gun? I felt a lot safer in Cuba than I did in the states. Besides certain exports such as cigars, there is really no other foreign revenue besides Tourism, so they love they're tourists. There always a policeman/solider around the corner, and there are huge penalties for stealing/attacking tourists.

Anyway, it?s a real cultural exciting place to visit, and if you are thinking about going then I suggest you do it soon. There's a lot of tension building against communism and Castro, so I recommend you get there before it all changes and the venture capitalists get their hands on it :)

I hear the SCUBA is awesome. Couldn't help but notice all the "CUBA" posters in the Toronto airport. Looked tempting.

cool cool and nah not looking to get laid :) Id love to cruise in an oldtimer party a bit relax on the beach n stuff and theres so much to see, like to go to Havanna for sure.

Drink lots of Mojito's and Daiquiris, spend time in Havana, and don't go to tourist places such as the valley with paintings of prehistoric animals. Although lunch was amazing there.

supposedly there are some great "lobster and french fries" dinners available near the beaches -- sounds weird but it's some kind of $10 or $20 deal being offered. Friends were raving about it. Also lots of "swim with the dolphins" side trips away from the resorts. Good times.
