Internet Explorer Problem, any ideas?

Hey, i've been having a lot of trouble for the last few days, accessing various websites. I assumed the problem was my ISP. But, i tried to use opera before, and everything worked fine, leading me to believe it was a problem on my side, in particular, with internet explorer. Anyone else experienced this? If so, what did you do about it?

My IE problems were excessive, Crashing on any page that required though or freezing for no reason. I formatted and all is better........ Although I just installed Internet Explorer 6 and my icq acts all weird now..... Messages popup beside the flower in the taskbar, anyone else have this problem?

I bought a new computer and am trying to figure out how to fix my old one. Are you actually saying that you reformatted C: ?

yep I did a format and put on Windows 2000 Pro and it has worked alot better, no crashes or anything yet which is nice... I use to be Windows Me and it was highly unstable
