Why is it so hard to give something away?

Yesterday, I offered to optimize press releases for the next three people that submitted one to www.PRadult.com and so far, no one has taken me up on it.

I don't get it. People are constantly requesting to do link trades, but here they get a free one way incoming link from a PR4 site, and no one is interested?

Amazing.

I am interested

Can I add a press release something of the sort "FatAndWet.com has launched and it is now open for affiliates etc..................." ???????

MaddCaz 05-14-2006 01:58 PM

People tend to be weary when you just wanna give shit away. Unfortunately.

Yes, just make sure there is some content (text) involved. I have people that just submit "FatAndWet.com has launched and it is now open for affiliates." and think that is enough for a press release.

If you are going to target webmasters, make it a couple paragraphs long, and be sure to use words like adult, affiliate program, webmasters or any other keywords that you want the SE spiders to associate with your site.

You can also target surfers, again using keywords that you want the SE spiders to associate with your site.

You can write one press release for surfers and one for webmasters, or just one for both.

A good press release will be between 300-500 words.

Have you talked to Boy Alley? He seems to be quite the slut. :)

Register at http://www.pradult.com/wp-register.php
Then submit it to http://www.pradult.com/wp-admin/

I will then optimize and publish it.

You probably have a valid point there. If I oppered to write the release for them I would probably get more takers.

"oppered?" What the hell were my fingers thinking? That should read: If I offered to write the release for them I would probably get more takers.

I agree, my mainstream massage therapy company offers people free massages, but, people get skeptical when you offer them a free massage at work.

Its friggin' wierd.

And its all legitimate, my massage therapists are all registered and don't offer happy endings.

there's your problem ;)

I had a (very hot girl) friend that is a masseur, and she said half of the phone calls she gets are from guys looking for sex.

She also told me that she had a HUGE mafia dude as a regular (think of supersized Tony Soprano), and once he fell asleep during the massage and fell off the bed, and massage beds are much higher than normal beds, so you can only imagine the whole scene. She told me that she was scared stiff, but the dude was very nice to her and couldn't stop apologizing.

ok, why did I tell you all this???

So if someone submits an article to your site, you are going to optimize the article for a term for free. So you can get SE traffic to that article on your site for the term. Wouldn't you optimize all the articles submitted? I mean, as a blog owner myself I damn sure to optimize every blog entry.

If you go to the site you will notice we are not selling any advertising. Our base service is free, but we do offer premium services, such as optimizing, editing, writing. If I were to do it for free then there would not be much incentive for anyone to pay us to do it for them.

do your press releases have to be major releases or can they be minor shit like "our latest hosted galleries"?

Just to clarify, this is a link building tool for the person submitting the press release. I am not gaining anything by having someone come to PRadult because they found a link to a BBW site.

I think your latest hosted galleries would be pretty big news.

Now, don't do like some people have and just list links to the galleries, there is nothing to be gained, and I probably won't publish it. However, if you are targeting webmasters, you can easily write something up announcing 50 (or however many it is) new FHG's and then an additional paragraph or two about your program.
