Cash out now. The girl at the bank has been asking me if I want to "keep my US cheques for later" for the last year now. I'm going with the strategy of "it'll average out over time," like they say when they're trying to reassure you when your mutual funds take a dive.

I'm double fucked here, if the US dollar weakens Im' getting less money, if the gold goes up (then the local currency is stronger) and I'm losing money again, right now the dollar's weak AND the gold is up ;(

By the end of the year, the USD will be worth about .7 Euros, be on par with the CAD$ and get less than 10 Pesos.

Agree! There may be minor fluctuations, but nothing to give any credence that the dollar will increase value in the forseeable future. I'd bet 95:1 it's going to sink further - a lot further.

This is only short term and - I hate to say it so get lost haters - when Bush is out of office and there's someone else with some wiser fiscal policies in there the USD will gain some strength. Unless your economy falls into depression then you're screwed for a while.

This is all assuming the price per barrel falls below $80 along with a drop in the price of agricultural and housing commodities.
